Thanks, Kate. The rosy cheeks confound me. I love them—don’t get me wrong—but I can’t figure out where they come from. No one in my family had rosy cheeks nor in Dom’s family either.
priest’s wife, Funny story: Dom called his Sicilian grandparents Nana and Nanu and his father of course is Nanu to all the grandkids but his mother, not being Sicilian is generally “Grandma”. But when saying bedtime prayers he often slips and prays for Nana and Nanu instead of Grandma and Nanu. The girls think it’s hilarious and giggle whenever he says “Nana”. I’m not exactly sure why. I confess “Nanu” still sounds very foreign to me, though it does suit my father-in-law.
Happy Easter!
Those rosy cheeks on your girls are simply beautiful.
