Sometimes when Isabella is thirsty she requests a “sippy cup with water.” But if she doesn’t want water, she invariably asks for “juice and milk.” Juice always means orange juice, the kind with calcium.
And she carries the two cups around, sipping alternatively from one straw and then from the other. Evidently no one told her that orange juice and milk is a stomach-churning combination.
That’s exactly what we’ve been doing with Miriam and Isabella for about a week now. It’s worked marvelously well so far—Deo gratias! I was frightened to try it at first, since Bella gets up early to nurse, but Miriam sleeps right through it…
My first thought was to move her afternoon nap up a little bit to help sync the evening.
