
Monday July 31
Bella had a cup of coffee this morning and was very focused and energetic.
She did a few lines of cursive copywork. She did several math lessons in Khan Academy. She copied out a paragraph from Pigeon Post. She set up a new Latin notebook and copied some vocabulary words into it. She read me a poem.
Sophie did a page of Miquon math, copied the second half of the stanza she’d started on Friday and worked on memorizing the verse she’d been copying. She also read to me from her geography book and reviewed the Hail Mary in French.
Ben did a page of math, a letter workbook page, and some copywork.
Anthony did a page of math, some copywork, and read me a couple pages about St Ignatius of Loyola, his name saint whose feast it was today.
Anthony helped me make some banana nut muffins for his treat.
Afternoon stories: All of a Kind Family Downtown, Golden Fleece, Roman Myths, St John Vianney, Augustus Caesar’s World.
Bedtime stories: Bella read a scene from Shakespeare’s Star Wars (She’s also begun memorizing bits of it.)




Tuesday August 1
Bella did math, copywork, Latin, and read me a poem.
Sophie did math, copywork, Latin, and finished memorizing her poem. She recited it for Dom at dinner and her performance was marvelous.
Ben did a page of math, two letter workbook pages, and some copywork.
Anthony did a page of math, some copywork, and read to me from Tales of Great Americans.
Afternoon stories: All of a Kind Family Downtown, Golden Fleece, Roman Myths, St John Vianney, Story of the World.
Bedtime story: Keeping Quilt by Patricia Polacco.



Wednesday August 2
My birthday. No school work. We took a walk. Watched the Swallows and Amazons movie. Went out to dinner, and had cake.




Thursday August 3
Grocery day, no school in the morning.
Afternoon story: All of a Kind Family Downtown.



Friday August 4
Everyone did math and copywork, etc.
Then they watched The Force Awakens.
I forgot to jot down what we read in the afternoon.
