Monday November 14

Everyone did math and copywork. Sophie read me her geography. Bella picked a dictation phrase and copied it out.

Picnic lunch at D.W. Field Park.

Afternoon stories: Great Northern. Nothing else because it was pretty late when we got back.

Bedtime story: Odyssey

Bella finished reading Johnny Tremaine.

Tuesday November 15

Orthodontist appt and errands. Bella and I saw a house finch, a first. We discussed architectural and decorative features of office buildings. We picked up four kimonos a local homeschooling mother was giving away. We stopped by the lab for my blood test. And listened to The Silmarillion during all of our back and forthing.

She managed to do a math page in the waiting room and another math page and some copywork after we got home. I found that Sophie and Anthony had done their math. Sophie had done copywork. I got Ben to do his math, letter practice, and copywork.

After lunch we dropped Auntie Tree to the airport shuttle, sorry to see her go.

Afternoon stories: Great Northern, Pyramid, St Anthony of Padua, Story of the World (China and silk.)

Bedtime story: final chapter of Odyssey.

Wednesday November 16

Ben and Anthony each did a page of math. Ben did a page of letters and copied a sentence. Anthony read me the story of St Margaret of Scotland and copied a sentence.

Bella did a page of math and her copywork.

Sophie did two pages of math and copywork.

Grocery shopping.

Afternoon stories: Great Northern, Life of Our Lord (with narration and discussion), Pyramid.

Bedtime story: Lugalbanda: The Boy Who Got Caught Up in a War, Sumerian story about Gilgamesh’s father.

Thursday November 17

Amazing how the right motivation can get kids to focus. We had friends come to play and all the math and copy work was done before 10 am. Everyone did Miquon math. Ben did letters and copied a sentence. Sophie did her copy work. Anthony read me the life of St Cecilia and copied a sentence.

Afternoon stories: Great Northern, Life of Our Lord, St Anthony of Padua, Story of the World, Pyramid, My Path to Heaven.

Bedtime: Lugalbanda.

Friday November 18

Sophie did several pages of Miquon math and part of a page of MEP.

Ben did a page of Miquon, a page of letters, and copywork.

Anthony did Miquon math.
