Monday November 21

I woke with a migraine, totally unable to function. So I went back to bed and slept the morning away and got up at noon. Headache gone, but feeling fragile. The kids did a bit of work. Sophie did math and copywork, Bella did Latin, Ben did letters.

Afternoon stories: Great Northern, Life of Our Lord, Story of the World, St Anthony of Padua, art history book about prehistoric cave art then looked at more cave art online.

Bedtime story: Lugalbanda, This Is Not My Hat.

Tuesday November 22

Anthony did math, copywork, read to me. Ben did math, letter workbook, copywork. Sophie did math and copywork. Bella did math and copywork and Latin.

We went to the grocery store and did the shopping, food for the week plus Thanksgiving dinner. Bella helped make the menu and organized the ingredients list.

Afternoon stories: Great Northern, Life of Our Lord, Story of the World, St Anthony of Padua, The Monk Who Grew Prayer, Hippos in the Night.

Bedtime story: Lugalbanda, and Dom read a bunch of picture books. Bella has been going through the shelves gathering books she thinks Lucy might like and either reading them to Lucy herself or putting them in a pile so that Dom and I can read them to her.

Wednesday November 23

Anthony read to me, did copywork, and math. Ben did his letter workbook, copywork, and partial math page. Sophie did a page in Miquon, copywork, French lesson, and read geography. Bella did part of a math page, Latin.

Friday November 25

On Friday we had a quiet day at home. I took Bella to the doctor to check out her breathing problems.

Day after Thanksgiving pecan pie breakfast.

Saturday November 26: Minute Man National Historic Park

On Saturday we took a family field trip to Concord and the Minute Man National Historical Park. We got a late start so didn’t see all of the park. Basically we went to the visitor center near the North Bridge, watched a film and listened to an interpreter there, then walked down to the bridge. Then we ambled down the path to the Manse, where Hawthorne and Thoreau once lived, but we didn’t take the tour, just gobbled some free cookies and cider. Then we went and had a late lunch.
