All’s Quiet on the Blogging Front

All’s Quiet on the Blogging Front

IMG_2321

I had an accident with my laptop. A glass of water spilled into it. And that fried the monitor somehow. So I could only use the computer connected to an external monitor, which was mounted on the wall in the kitchen. Now the kitchen is not a cozy place to compose blog posts and so I wasn’t able to post my learning notes or any other blog posts.

I still was writing up learning notes, though, and taking photos. So now I have a backlog of more than a month of learning notes and photos and I want to get them up here but I haven’t found time to do it. I know Dom would say I should just skip them and start new with the stuff from this week, but I’m having a hard time letting it go because this is my permanent record and because I’m stubborn and a perfectionist. I can’t let it go.

But I’m going to try to take a couple of nights and organize everything and get it posted. Maybe lump a few weeks’ of learning notes together in a few bigger posts. And then I can get back to telling you about the books I’m reading. I’ve got photos of Ben’s birthday and some field trips and I miss my blog here.

So, yes, all is well. We are all well. Just busy. And now that my computer situation is sorted out I’ll hopefully be back to more regular blogging. Sorry for not putting up a note, but I really didn’t expect it to last this long. Thanks to everyone who dropped a note to say you missed me. I’ve missed you too.

  • For those keeping track at home, this was Melanie’s *second* waterlogged and destroyed MacBook Air. For the third one, we have purchased a protective outer case and a membrane to go over the keyboard. Let’s see how long this one lasts.
