My sister had the day off today and joined us for a walk through our neighborhood. We collected pine cones and leaves and enjoyed the bleak beauty of late autumn.
Most of the trees have lost all their leaves; but there are still some touches of color.
One of our neighbors, a veteran, proudly displays several flags. I love the bright stars and stripes against the gray weathered fence.
Bella is fascinated by the flags too.
A single red leaf glows among the brown and gray.
Ben slept soundly in the stroller.
Bella was fascinated by the storm drain grate.
I didn’t notice until I looked at this photo that Bella had her boots on the wrong feet.
Sophie sits in her stroller throne, wearing the new sweater her auntie knit for her.
I love the weathered wood against the red and yellow.
Bella waves a stick and pine cone.
Theresa displays collected treasures.
A yellow leaf shines.
I glanced down to see this little dead mouse. It looked perfect and peaceful, like it was just asleep.
i love your collage! so pretty.
These would be beautiful printed and framed for a collage on a wall. (particularly the block of four w/ the lone dandelion, the array of leaves and pine cone, the lone red maple, & lone orange oak leaf. Amazing job! You’re a good artist.
I have a nature journal with things like this. It is about 1/5 used up and about 9 years old, but I add to it here and there and treasure those efforts. Keep it up!
makes a nice background on my desktop!
