Four Years

Four Years

image

I wanted to write up a long post with lots of photos of our wedding day; but all the pictures are on Dom’s computer. I need to copy them to mine.

Nonetheless, my memory is full of images.

And perhaps, after all, there are other pictures that say it as well, what this day means to me:

Four years, four blessings. One whose face I have not seen but eagerly await in hope.

Looking forward to many more years and as many blessings as God chooses to send us.

  • We saw that miniseries too.  I think it ran to five episodes, and was supposed to be the first season of a continuing series that failed to continue.  It had a lot of actors from Gosford Park, I recall.  We enjoyed it well enough.

  • Dear Melanie,

I am glad to hear you enjoyed the book, and that your potato peels are now enlivening a pie.

I asked the TV expert of the house (Tevye), and he says there was a series called Enemy at the Door. It was originally shown in 1978 with a second series in 1980, both of which are available on DVD. Looking at Amazon, it seems there was also a much more recent series called Island at War – that may be the one Mrs Darwin watched.

  • Melanie,
I’m so glad you loved it! Isn’t the title a funny thing?  Now that you mention it, I think that the idea of pie escaped me initially, too.  That title is an odd thing, with its ability to both attract, repel and deceive. smile  We may buy a copy, too—Anne-with-an-e wants to read it next.
