Inspired by the cross patches made by quilters in this virtual quilting bee pool, I have recently become obsessed with sewing cross blocks. I have no idea what I’m going to do with them, especially as they aren’t uniform in shape, size, color scheme or anything except the crosses. I suppose they might become a free-form quilt of some sort. Right now I’m just enjoying the process.
The other night I realized that the timing of this obsession cannot be merely coincidental. Obsessing over crosses just as Lent begins? That smacks of something more. I think for the duration of Lent I’m going to limit myself to making these joyful, flowery crosses.
Yes, he IS beautiful! And I LOVE the name!
Congratulations again!
He certainly is beautiful.
Congratulations.
I also love the name.
In the seventh grade I had a nun named Sr. Benedict Joseph. I couldn’t help but recall that lovely teacher when I learned the name of your little boy.
My prayers are with you and your family.
He’s just perfect! You will absolutely love having a boy. I was nervous when I was pregnant with Daniel, having only had a sister growing up, but my boys have been absolutely delightful. I’m so happy for you guys! (And you know I love the name!
A beautiful baby indeed!
He is indeed! And I agree with the previous posters – a lovely name. Are you getting used to saying “he” yet?
Beautiful, indeed.
