Yesterday I had one of those days when it seemed like nothing got done. I changed lots of diapers and played with Sophia and read to Bella, but that was about it. Sophie wouldn’t let me put her down for any length of time and only took one brief nap. Then, ah joy, last night my sister volunteered to make dinner. And a very very yummy dinner it was too: pasta with a creamy cheese sauce, ham, peas, and mushrooms. And while she was cooking and Bella was hanging out with Dom and Sophia was sitting in the high chair picking up rice grain by grain, I was able to vacuum, a task I find it very hard to fit into the day on the best of days.
Then, after the girls were in bed, I undertook to begin a major organization of the books in our library. I wasn’t able to get it all done, but I made considerable progress and was quite satisfied. Now all the poetry books are together, all the kiddie books are together, all the theology and religion books are together. I unpacked three boxes that hadn’t previously been opened because there had been no room on the shelves. And I’ve made some nice arrangements of overflow books on the tops of shelves using book ends that we got yesterday. Now we just need to hang pictures and organize the fiction and non fiction into some semblance of order.
Oh and Sophia is looking much, much better today. I think the end is finally in sight. Thanks again for all your prayers.
