A sunny, warm Christmas eve: snow is on the ground, carols are ringing through the house. We’ve just finished adding the final touches to the house and the tree. Bella is generally doing pretty well about not pulling ornaments off the tree. Dom is making shrimp cocktails and eggnog. I’m chatting with friends and family while I upload photos. Dom’s mother has been released from the hospital and so will be spending Christmas day at home with some of her children and grandchildren.
Merry Christmas to all. May the peace of Christ be with you and your families.
Dom received this lovely greenery on our back door from his employer, the Archdiocese of Boston.
Bella just can’t resist touching the ornaments.

Bella’s borrowed finery
Bella is quite fascinated with the bow on the door frame.
The tree skirt is restored to its proper place.
The Christmas tree in all its glory. I still haven’t found a tree topper I like. (Yes, I’m very picky!) In the meanwhile we have a pretty gold ribbon.
Lacking a chimney, we were forced to make do when hanging our stockings. Mine is on the front door.

Christmas cards from friends and family. The nativity scene was a gift from my parents.
