Woke up at 1 to a chorus of alarms going off upstairs. They couldn’t figure out what set them off so we bundled up the baby and I stumbled out into the rainy night barefoot and disoriented. Bella woke up, of course, so I sat in the car and we had an early feeding while we waited for the fire department to come and then waited for them to clear the building. They couldn’t determine the source of the alarm, but narrowed it dow to three of the CO2 detectors. They’ll call the electrician, who installed the alarms at Christmas, to come and check it out tomorrow. Meanwhile, my ears are still ringing and I’m saying a prayer to our guardian angels. I doubt any of us will sleep soundly tonight.
