This is the chapter in which not much happens

Today was another busy full day. Everything was compressed because I had to take Bella to the dentist at 4pm to get a cavity filled. Poor thing, it was a big cavity and she was kind of traumatized.

Then we had to have an early dinner because Bella had a patrol leader meeting at 7pm. And even though they meet at Burger King where she could grab food, I still had to feed everyone else.

So I put a hambone and some beans in the instant pot at lunch and had Sophie and Lucy cut vegetables while Bella and I were at the dentist. When we got home I threw the veggies in the pot. The soup came out lovely and I made some quick homemade croutons with leftover bread that I’d stashed in the freezer tossed with some butter and oil, garlic and Italian herbs, and Parmesan cheese.

I had Ben and Anthony and Lucy do the dishes for me and as a reward they got to watch a tv show while I sat and read. But I was nodding over my book. I guess now that the kids are all in bed and I’ve snatched a moment of quiet, it’s time for me to hit the shower and go to bed. I’m too tired to write anything interesting.

Tomorrow night the boys are camping so I’ll have to help them pack tomorrow. And there’s a Telehealth call and schoolwork and dinner to plan and cook. It’s going to be another busy day. And then we will hopefully have a quiet Saturday. I want to do some baking. And Sunday is Epiphany and we will have a lovely feast, I hope.
