Bella: math, copywork, narrate from Lord of the Rings and from George Washington’s World
Everyone drew or sketched. Sophie and Lucy joined me outside to sketch things we saw.
Lucy, Sophie, Anthony and I took a walk.
Afternoon stories: Heckedy Peg, Day on Skates, Magna Charta, St Louis de Montfort, lectionary readings.
Bella had been bouncing back and forth between George Washington’s World and Abraham Lincoln’s World.
Anthony finished Finn McCool and The Hound of Ulster by Rosemary Sutcliff. He’s currently reading The Queen’s Own Grove.



Tuesday September 4
Bella: math, copywork, Latin, dictation
Sophie: math, copywork, narration written and oral (St Damien)
Ben: math, copywork, Explode the Code, Bob book
Anthony: math, copywork

Bedtime story: Bathysphere

Wednesday September 5
Anthony did math (Khan Academy) and copywork and read to me from Child’s History.
Ben did math, copywork, explode the code, and read a Bob book.
Sophie did math, copywork, French, read Geography.
Bella did math, copywork, Latin, and narrated from By What Authority?
Bella has been reading By What Authority by Robert Hugh Benson and one of the Scarlet Pimpernel books.
Sophie is reading from the book of Numbers and just finished reading The Spear.
Afternoon stories: St Louis de Montfort, Book of Marvels, Magna Charta, Blood and Guts, lectionary readings.
Bedtime story: Frog and Toad

Friday September 7

Ben: math, copywork, Explode the Code, Bob book. Also narrated a very nice summary of Star Wars, a New Hope. Definitely understands summary.
Sophie: math, copywork, French, Geography.
Bella: math, copywork, Latin, composed a fall poem.

Bella is still reading Scarlet Pimpernel
Bedtime story: Sophie read the picture book, Emma to the boys, the one illustrated by Barbara Cooney about the grandmother who takes up painting.
