Anthony woke to a pile of presents on the table. Then he had to wait for his family to get out of bed. I was last up and he had to wait and wait.
But it was worth it, I think.
We got him a couple of books: The Saint and his Bees by Dessi Jackson and Squirrels by Brian Wildsmith. (Then An Angels Alphabet by Hilda van Stockum came later in the day.)
He also got a set of pirate block, which somehow I don’t have a picture of. They were a big hit. He got a knit coif and crown, which came from separate places but match perfectly. And my parents got him a bulldozer and also Katie and the Starry Night.
We made a gluten free chocolate cake with coconut flour, my new favorite kind of cake to bake because it means Lucy can eat the cake with us.
Dom met us at Bertucci’s for dinner.
Anthony had video chats with Auntie Tree and Grandma. And a phone call from Grandad. I think he liked all the attention.

Happy birthday Anthony! Love love love that chain mail coif and crown!
