Please Pray (Updated)

St Pio of Pietrelcina, pray for us.
St Pio of Pietrelcina, pray for us.

Please pray for Miriam, the eldest daughter of my friend, The Philosopher Mom. She’s ten and undergoing her own Way of the Cross this Lent, suffering very much and still with no diagnosis. And pray for her family and especially her parents.

Thank you very much.

Update Sunday night:

“Miriam was just admitted to the ER. We aren’t sure what’s going to happen. Please continue to pray. We are asking the intercession of Padre Pio to save her from all attacks. We are asking the intercession of Fr. Michael j. McGiveny for her total healing.”

  • Dearest Melanie, I will copy here my reply to you at my blog …..

Oh i am so sorry. I fervently hope the night brought answers to your friend and her little girl!

Here is a prayer for your friend’s daughter and my son: “Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd of the Sheep, you gather the lambs in your arms and carry them in your bosom: We commend to your loving care these children. Relieve their pain, guard them from all danger, restore to them your gifts of gladness and strength, and raise them up to a life of service to you. Hear us, we pray, for your dear Name’s sake. Amen.”

Sometimes this cross is just too heavy and i fall down and wrestle mightily. In the end, i do still come back to having utter faith that His will be done. In the end. But the wrestling is part of it, Melanie. I’ve come to know that it helps to bring us into deeper communion with Him.

Praying with you. Thank you for your prayers, and for being here for me as well.
