So seven blog posts in seven days wasn’t really much of a challenge to me right now. I had more than enough material to blog when I set my mind to it. In fact, many days I did two posts. Could I sustain it over the long haul and would I want to? Probably not. I tend to blog in bursts. I have periods with a lot of activity and then have long periods of relatively dead time. This just happened to hit during one of my busy times anyway.
I actually have several more longer book posts that I’m working on too. Those take a bit more time to craft and are harder to toss off. I put them on hold in fact and delayed publishing them in favor of writing shorter posts I knew I could finish in one evening. So sometimes it’s good to take a couple of days to really get something right.
What then is usually the biggest barrier to my writing? Distraction, small children, and distraction. How hard it is to write while holding a nursing baby or a sleeping baby being the biggest factor.
