I’ve never really understood the whole pancake on Fat Tuesday thing. I mean, I understand the history; but I’m just not that excited about pancakes for dinner. To me it would feel like a fast rather than a feast. So we had chicken stir-fry for dinner.
We didn’t get around to making Anthony a cake yesterday on his birthday so after we returned from his pediatrician checkup this morning the big kids and I whipped up a whole wheat chocolate wacky cake. No frosting or frills. But we put in a candle and sang happy birthday and then Ben helped blow out the candle. And Anthony had a great time eating his first ever chocolate cake.
I love that verse too, about the wings of a dove. And I love your application. I’ve never seen a pyx like that before. Really unique.
Still haven’t figured what to reduce with computer use yet. I don’t have an iphone to remove apps from!

It’s always been one of my favorite verses. I love it when I have a new insight into an old favorite. It becomes all new again.

Personally I find fasting from food the hardest part. I don’t know if it is my own personal dysfunctional relationship with food or if it has to do with being pregnant or nursing the last 6 years and I am just THAT out of practice. Or maybe both. But yeah, if a migraine is on the line, I’m sure a simple snack is fine.
