And we’ve had similarly easy bedtimes all week. Tonight when I took the girls in he giggled as I retucked his blankie. So then I patted his back and he giggled again and then I tickled him on the ribs just to hear another giggle. But he fussed when I tried to sing the girls their lullabye.
So he’s not the only weirdo. The girls both hated tooth brushing. But I serendipitously got him interested before I ever tried with a toothbrush. One night while reading a Boynton book I acted out the brush your teeth line with my finger on my teeth. He thought it was hilarious and did the same. A couple of weeks later I thought, wow I really should buy him a tooth brush and start brushing his teeth at night. He loved it. I know they say you should start earlier; but in this case waiting really seemed to work.
