I just discovered that somehow this never got posted. Pictures from the day after Thanksgiving. Better late than never, eh?
On Friday we were all feeling well enough to notice our cabin fever. So we decided to brave the rain and go for a drive.
(Anyone who knows me knows I hate shopping and crowds. The last place you’ll find me on Black Friday is anywhere near a mall. I’ll go for the lonesome beach any day. My Christmas shopping will all be done on Amazon. No crowds, no fuss. No headaches.)
And so on with the story. We ended up at our favorite beach where they have the farmer’s market in the summer and early fall. Now the site of a Christmas tree vendor.
And some lonely seagulls.
I had a hankering for some clam chowder, so we found a place that does that.
After days of sickness, it was lovely to see those beautiful dimples once again. When Sophie smiles the grayest day is sunny.
Bella entertained Ben while we waited.
The two of them are a great comic pair.
And then she amused herself by watching the fish.
I loved all the antique signs.
With full bellies we drove on and found a spot where we could contemplate the broad Atlantic in all her November glory.
