It’s been a gray day. A chill in the air that feels very autumnal. I baked bread this morning. (The loaf was rather dense and sad but tasted good hot with some butter.) So I thought I’d post some photos of my happy sunflowers which are finally blooming. Seeing them at the corner of the house totally brightens my day. I guess I bought the wrong variety, though. I was hoping for something a bit taller.

My little guy would have been in heaven all day long. Of course the workers would have thought they were in purgatory because he would have been bombarding them with questions and asking to drive the backhoe and in general getting under foot.
