What’s Your Defining Post?

Today at Conversion Diary Jennifer asks her readers to share one post that they think captures the essence of their blog.

Very very hard. I often feel like my blog suffers from multiple personality disorder. Sometimes I strive to be a book blogger, to write about education and faith and food and all sorts of other things. But when it comes down to it, the heart of my blog now is motherhood. Everything else fits into the cracks and crevices of time left by my primary concern which is care of my family.

My first thought was this favorite, a lighthearted photo essay highlighting Bella’s spontaneous love for God. I think it captures my day to day tone, writing about motherhood, Bella, faith with some pictures thrown in.

But Dom said it didn’t reflect my introspection and depths (Is it cheating to ask my husband for advice?) so I decided to go with some thoughts on motherhood I wrote after my miscarriage. I think it’s one of the best pieces I’ve ever written. While I don’t rise to these heights all that often, this very much embodies what I strive to convey about my vocation even in my more lighthearted posts.
