This morning I was tired, the girls were cranky. I looked at the clock and realized if I wanted to make it to my moms Bible study, I’d have to hustle. And I wasn’t up to hustling. So I decided not to go. And stepped down the pace of the morning. But there were still the cranky girls.
So I declared we were going for a walk, shoved them into some clothes, despite a few loud protests. And we were off. I was ready to sit down after a simple loop around the block. But at least we got out and got some fresh air and a change of perspective. Though it was after ten, it was still overcast and cool and dew (or rain?) still dotted many leaves. I’d had the presence of mind to grab the camera and so was able to snap a few dewy photos.
Bella was fascinated by these dewy spiderwebs when I pointed them out to her.
The photo just doesn’t capture the glitter of the water shining in the grass.
These dark leaves looked diamond-studded.
When we got home my rose bush greeted me from the corner of the house!
The other one doesn’t look quite so dramatic; but has quite a few buds on it.
And our tomato plants are blooming! Hooray for our first experiment at vegetable gardening. We’ll see how many fruits we actually get.
I took the single stroller and made Bella walk. She didn’t object strenuously. But when we got home and Sophie got down to toddle all over the place, Bella climbed into the stroller and sat there for at least half an hour eating Sophie’s snacks.
