We’re still enjoying the finger puppets from Sophie’s birthday: skunk, ostrich, raccoon, owl, hedgehog.
Sophie fell asleep on the way home from the post office. Who can resist a sleeping baby?
Sophie still hates baths. Her favorite part is getting out.
Sophie’s hair is finally getting long enough for a barrette.
Bella left a muddy footprint on this pillowcase.
Sophie loves playing with beads.
Bella loves her new boots. I think they’re pretty spiffy too.
Beautiful!!!
ah, no sitting on the hair anymore! A neat donation opportunity…. Good for you!
A great idea, my daughters are blessed like you with lovely hair, and every other year do the same thing.
A great sacrifice for Lent, as this must have been hard, yet your hair does look fuller when it’s shorter.
The trim makes the ends look so neat and healthy, and brings out the curl. Very nice!
If you do one more cut at the start of summer (it looks like you can—you have lovely thick hair) you may never go back! It will be much easier to take care of, I can promise. Of course, I have never had truly long hair..
Cathy,
The last time I did Locks of Love I cut it to just above my shoulders. I will never go that short again.
Actually, this is about the shortest I will go. Everyone with shorter hair tells me how much easier it is to care for. I’ve always found it just the opposite. My preferred style for everyday use it to throw my hair up in a bun with a scrunchie. That way there is no braid or ponytail to get in my face while I’m cooking or cleaning or playing with kids, there is not much for babies to grab on to. And in a bun it doesn’t really get very dirty. I only wash it once or twice a week. And even if I forget to brush it in the morning it looks pretty good pulled back in the bun. Any shorter and I can’t manage a bun and then it becomes a major pain and needs to be brushed and styled and dealt with.
What a great thing to do and you still have so much hair, sigh….
