This morning Sophia took a very long nap. Bella took the opportunity to snuggle up to me on the couch. I sang my way through her favorite songbook. Then we went and played in the back yard. I pulled her in the wagon, pushed her on the swing, chased her around and around and around. Then, after Sophia woke up, I bundled them both into the stroller and we took a nice long walk through the neighborhood. It’s so nice to be getting back into something resembling normal life again: laundry, dishes, cooking, picking up toys, cleaning up spills, changing diapers and all the little things I hardly notice because they are constant, somehow they all have a new tenor here in the new house. I am able to breath deeply and know that there is be no longer a major move disrupting these cornerstones of our days.
