oh Melanie, I’m so jealous. I keep trying to get Cecilia to say them but I really don’t think she understands them yet. She gives all of us hugs and kisses but if I ask her if she loves someone she either ignores me or says no. I think she associates the phrase with leaving of some sort since I usually say it regularly at bedtime before I leave her bedroom.
Dom’s been working on it for months with Bella too. I think they sense when we really want them to say something and balk. I can’t get Isabella to say her name either. She used to say it when she was much younger, but now she gets very self-conscious and refuses to say it though I’m sure she knows how.
