Today is my second wedding anniversary.

It didn’t get off to a great start. I woke up at 4:30 and never could get back to sleep. I’m afraid I wasn’t very civil to poor Dom.

And then I felt really chagrined when I opened my laptop and found a sweet message on the screen: Happy Anniversary! I love you.

But this afternoon I got to hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time. That’s just about the best present ever. Only thing that could have made it more special was if Dom could have been there. (Or, I suppose if it had been the ultrasound—Dom will be there for that next month.)

And I had a nice visit with my sister-in-law when I dropped off/picked up Bella. Now it’s almost dinner time and I still haven’t decided where to go.

  • I think this is an age where they are fascinated with clothes. My Little Cherub keeps trying to work out how to get into my cardigan, and spends ages trying to stuff her feet into her shoes.

  • Yes, I can definitely see the fascination with clothes and the beginnings of a desire to dress herself. She grabs clothes from the drawer and hold the shorts next to her legs, she helps by putting her arms in the sleeves for me. She holds her shoes up to her feet, and my shoes next to my feet. Yesterday she roamed the house in one black paten leather pump. I had no idea where the other one was, but she insisted on my puting it on her feet.
