I like these two prayers. They are short and rhyme, therefore easy to remember. It seems they would be very suitable to teach to young children to help them get into the habit of a morning offering.
Right now we’re in the habit of saying night prayers with Isabella right before we put her to bed and blessings at meals (I try to remember when I nurse her to and do so about half the time.) but I’d also like to start a morning prayer with her as well at some point. I suppose it’s never too early to start.

How timely for me to read. Thank you. Just last night we went over to our neighbor’s house, good friends of ours. They are literally the ACLU type and their home was filled with many families with many little kids for my daughter to mingle and enjoy. There were about 3 gay couples with their kids present and later my dh & I wondered if we were right to expose our daughter to such “relationships.”
Our friends know we are Catholic. They know where we stand on moral issues, but we are still friends. However, will this confuse our daughter? It is something we wonder about and pray about.
I read this article last night, loved it. So much truth! And I agree with you…this mother has a light touch and I think she handled it in the best way possible, given the circumstances. My heart just goes out to that little girl!
