Seems I never get a cold without it turning either to a sinus infection or bronchitis or both. And that’s when I stuff myself full of all sorts of over the counter drugs.
To make matters a bit more complicated, I took a pregnancy test last week and it came up positive. So I was not putting anything more potent than benadryl into my system. And that just keeps my regular allergies from giving me sinus infections. It won’t cut it with a cold.
I went to the doctor on Monday morning after a killer sinus headache Sunday night. I’d been coughing heavily and sniffling for days. She gave me an antibiotic, a challenge for her finding one safe for a baby that I can also take as I’m allergic to penicillin. But she did and I’m feeling much better.
But still very tired. That’s just first trimester sleepies, though. Which is turning out to be a bit harder to deal with when I have a very active 8 month old crawling and standing and getting into everything. And refusing to nap more than 30 minutes at a time.
Lovely! she looks so pleased about her accomplishment! She is such a delightful. intense and focused little girl….
Intense, yep. That’s the word. She had the same look this morning when she pulled up on the coffee table: Look at what I just did!
