Speaking of quilts, we received another adorable blanket from a CWR writer. A blue and pink quilt, little sunbonneted girls and little boys in overalls….entirely handstitched, she writes. I love quilts and I love making quilts, thus people have hestitated to give me baby quilts. But this is the kind of quilt I’d never make because I have no patience with applique. I just do easy squares and rectangles, nine patches and four patches and that sort of thing. The most daring thing I’ve made so far is a modified log cabin quilt. I only recently figured out how to sew triangles together to make a pinwheel.
