Thursday September 21

Apple picking holiday. We had a lovely drive to the orchard, we travel to go to one owned by a Catholic homeschooling family. They have animals to pet (donkeys, goats, sheep, a llama, chickens) and a free hayride. After we picked our apples the kids played and then we got cider donuts and kettle corn and apple cider.

We took the scenic route home and then stopped for a late lunch at a Greek cafe, where the gyros were amazing. Sophie tried one for the first time and loved it. Bella had avgolemono soup and split an order of souvlaki with Lucy. Ben had chicken fingers and fries, and Anthony spaghetti and meatballs. Our meal came with a mountain of delicious fluffy pita. The atmosphere was lovely, with Greek music playing.

Bella did some work before we left, in the car, and when we returned home. Copywork, Khan academy, a short composition.
