God is good.
Tonight Erika writes:
Today is the feast of St. Bernadette of Lourdes. When all medical knowledge was exhausted and the prognosis “may need psychiatric treatment for months”, my 8-year-old daughter woke up, ate a complete breakfast, walked on her own, then two hours later ran into her father’s arms crying, “Daddy! I can RUN!” She had done none of those things for 6 weeks, since Ash Wednesday . The doctors shook their heads and said, “Well, we guess she’s going to continue to heal and she’ll be home for Easter.” Miriam: “I just started playing and then I walked.” Take what you will.
Praise Jesus. What a way to start Easter!
What a blessing, Melanie. What a blessing.
